The Daffodil International University (DIU) Air Rover Scout Group recently took a significant step towards environmental conservation by distributing tree saplings among its members. This initiative was supported by Mr. Md. Shafiqul Islam, Leader Trainer, and Deputy Regional Commissioner (Training) of Bangladesh Scouts Air Region, who provided the saplings during the 17th Oath Camp held at the Regional Scout Training Center in Pullerhat, Jessore.
The Rover Scouts will plant these saplings in their respective homes, where they will nurture and care for them, contributing to a greener environment. This effort is part of the ongoing commitment of the DIU Air Rover Scout Group to promote sustainable practices and environmental stewardship among its members.
Planting trees is not just an act of adding greenery to our surroundings; it is a vital measure in combating environmental degradation. Trees absorb carbon dioxide—a significant greenhouse gas—and help reduce pollution levels in the atmosphere. By planting more trees, we actively participate in preserving the planet and ensuring a healthier, more sustainable future for all living beings.
This initiative highlights the crucial role that trees play in maintaining ecological balance and underscores the responsibility of each individual in protecting the environment. As we continue to plant and care for trees, we contribute to the well-being of our planet and the preservation of life on Earth.
